Sweet time with Dad last night. We are going to be away from Dan for 11 days in the next couple of weeks. It's going to be hard.

Sometimes I love technology and sometimes I hate it. Here is how we spent last night... Dan watching a movie on his computer in the living room while I watched ER. I guess you can call that quality time together...

We've had a couple of rough days at the Reeve household... but things are finally looking up. Carter took a 3 hour nap today! Here are a couple pics from this week:

Carter moves so much that we have a hard time keeping his legs in the tub. He usually ends up with his legs hanging out like this.

He is a water boy... just like his Dad.

He loves this dinosaur book from my Mom. He has actually started to reach out and touch the different pictures on each page.

Here is before today's long nap. He looked so cute holding onto his bear that I had to snap a picture before I put him down. He wasn't so happy after the flash went off.

3 things I've learned in the past 24 hours...

1. Never EVER leave the house without at least 2 pacifiers!

2. Do NOT check on a baby 10 minutes after you put him down for his nap.

3. ALWAYS use a burp cloth when burping!

3 Months!

I was looking through the pictures of Carter's first couple days of life last week. I thought it would be fun to put him in one of the outfits he wore then to show the difference in his size.

Wireless from the Couch

Some one came up to me the other day and said that they like seeing the pictures of Carter on Alyssa’s blog. Well I guess I need to publish more often. So here it goes. First off my new job is going well. My School District is very forward thinking and progressive which creates a great atmosphere in which to teach, yet at the same time I've never had so many meetings in my life. Our Middle School is the first public Middle School in Missouri to roll out a critical thinking/inquiry based learning initiative that gives each individual student their own laptop. So we are working out all the kinks that a pilot program typically faces. All the kids get new iBooks and all of the teachers get new macbooks. So as a staff we are trying to move towards a classroom which is non-traditional as it seeks to instruct towards a student’s higher/critical thinking skills. As a result the use of computers in the classroom is secondary to the integration of new teaching/instructional strategies and philosophies.

Enough of that, I sound like a news release. All is going well in St. Louis. Carter is changing and is hilarious in the morning. He’ll wake up and just laugh and giggle in his crib for 20-40 minutes. It’s hard to leave him sometimes, sometimes because he does scream, then again all I have to say is, “Here he is babe, I have go to work.” It is nice, though, living so close to school because Alyssa and Carter can come visit me between meetings and the like.

Alyssa and I just finished watching End of the Spear. I was a little leery of the movie at first being fully aware of the typical production quality of most “Christian” movies (Kirk Cameron fan’s club www.ilovekirkcameroninchristianmovies.com). I was surprised to watch a thoughtful movie that demonstrated and revealed the heart of the gospel without idealizing the gospel and missionaries.

Well I guess this consitutes a post.

I can't believe Carter is almost 3 months old. I kept thinking he was only 2 months until one of my friends reminded me. Here are a couple cute pics from today:

He loves to be held up in the air. That's when we hear his little giggle.

Here is where he spends most of his day... just like his Dad :).

After his bath tonight. His hair is really starting to look more red and curly!

Things have been super busy but fun lately. Here is a little glimpse of our life the past week and a half (minus the pictures I failed to take of our visit labor day weekend with some of our best friends from Seminary) I'll explain the pictures a little later:
