Senior Portraits

Earlier this month I took two of our three seniors out for a little photo session (our third senior decided to wait to have his pictures done). It's amazing to me that two years after our first group of three seniors graduated... we will have three more graduating at once. I overheard one of our boys explaining to someone this week that Joe's Place is the only reason he's even in school right now. It's not been an easy year... but he will be putting on his blue cap and gown in just a few months. We are so proud of him and our other two that have worked through so much to get where they are now. There was actually another story done on Joe's Place and the documentary that is set to premiere on Saturday. You can read it here. We really are so thankful for all the people that have bought tickets and donated so much to make this place possible. 6 graduates in 4 1/2 years... now that's something to celebrate!!

Our local NBC station did a story about the upcoming Joe's Place Documentary last night. Starting the morning with a little CBS news... in our kitchen..

Our local CBS station is doing a 12 minute piece on Joe's Place this week. They wanted some shots of the boys getting ready for school... so their poor cameraman (Bill) had to show up at 6:30 this morning! It was fun getting to talk cameras, filming and news for a bit... since that was my first "real" job!! Bill was great... especially when Claire spit up all over him!

The guys making their lunches... since they don't like the awesome healthy food at school. Our local paper actually has a great article today about our district and the changes they've made to the lunch program (our own veggie garden, chicken coop, and buying from local farmers ).

Our local NBC station filmed a story this afternoon on Fred (and a bit on Joe's Place). Part of the piece will be airing tonight during the sports section of their evening news... I think at 6:20pm and then a bigger piece will air on Sunday night. I'll post the link for you out of town folks as soon as it is available.
