Joe's Place Documentary Trailer

We've talked about the documentary that was filmed at Joe's Place on the blog before... but I know it's been awhile. It's hard to believe Matt wrapped up the filming just over a year ago! Anyway... the trailer for the documentary is done and was shown for the first time at our big JP fundraiser last month (I can't believe I haven't blogged about the fundraiser yet). It's only 4 minutes long... and really gives a great picture of our life at Joe's Place. So many people have worked so hard to put this together. We can't wait to see the finished product! And... a huge side note... all 3 of our seniors highlighted in the documentary are starting their 2nd year of college next month!!!

He swims!!

Two huge milestones in less than a month! First the bike and now swimming! This afternoon Carter asked if he could take off the noodle that we keep tied around his waist while he swims. Dan took it off, Carter jumped in off the side, grabbed a ball off the bottom of the pool and swam to the steps. And... of course we have video!! :) Way to go, Carter!!

Such a great big brother...

I took this with my phone yesterday on our 30 minute drive up to my folks house (we are staying with my twin sister). Our kiddos are not used to much time in the car... since we live so close to everything in St. Louis. Claire was having a bit of a hard time falling asleep... but Carter took control of the situation and held her paci in until she fell asleep. So sweet!

California!!

Yep... we decided to take a last minute trip to California for the month. It's been so good to be with family and have a break from the humidity! Claire really is enjoying herself... just not her first experience with the pool. :) More updates coming soon (and hopefully I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong with my image quality on Dan's computer)!

We love the Moby!!

But more importantly... Claire loves the Moby...

We also love that it's from Chico... my hometown. Wearing a Moby wrap in St. Louis is pretty different from wearing one in NorCal. One of our boys about had a heart attack the first time he saw Dan wearing it. The first thing he said was... "You don't wear that out in public... do you?" So funny! I love that Dan has no problem wearing it around our little STL community!

And he's off....

1st time on a bike with pedals and he took off!!! The bike was our birthday gift to him this year. He's been begging to go to our local bike shop to pick it out... and today he and Dan finally made it over there. Dan wouldn't let him ride the bike until he took the training wheels off. We took him down to the high school track, Dan gave him a little push and he didn't look back. He is so proud of himself. Thank you, Skuut!!
