It's been a while since I have had a chance to sit down at the computer. Last Saturday we went apple picking with some friends over in IL. The guys had fun playing baseball with rotten apples. I am still finding apple pieces on Carter's car seat and diaper bag.
Monday my Aunt Jan and her fiance Alex visited from Seattle. They were on a road trip and came 7 hours out of their way to meet Carter and drop of the high chair we will be using. It was my Grandma's when she was a baby. My Dad, Aunts, and Cousins have also used it. Jan also brought my Dad's old bib that my Grandma found just before she passed away in April. It was really sweet to be able to put it on Carter and see him sitting in the chair.
Dan was out of town on a school trip for a couple days... so my super sweet friend Amanda stayed with me. It was fun having a roommate again... although I'm not sure she enjoyed having to listen to lullabies all night long! Sorry Amanda!!!
I forgot to take my camera... but Carter had his first music class on Friday (led by my good friend Katherine). Carter loved it.
We went to Babler State Park for Carter's first hike today. It was such nice weather and the trees were beautiful. That's one of the nice things about Missouri... you really get all four seasons to the extreme. We've had a hard time enjoying the outdoors here. Dan and I were talking last night about how amazing it is to be out in God's creation. Although we kind of wished we were in the Redwoods in Nor Cal... it has been nice to see a different kind of beauty here.
Dan's holding the plant used to make root beer.
This is going to make Dan mad... but I should end by saying GO CARDS today!!!
