Yesterday we drove 15 minutes down to the beach to one of the best snorkeling areas on the island. We got there early enough to claim one of the few areas of sand amongst all of the lava. Nate and Dan spent most of the time in the water while Erica and I hung out in the beach shade with Lexie and Carter. My mom and dad met us later with lunch. Erica and I each took a turn in the water later in the morning and were able to swim with sea turtles. That was incredible. My mom even took a little turn in the water.
