The board of Joe's Place commissioned our friend Matt Seilbackto film a documentary about the work being done at Joe's Place. He started filming this fall and will film through graduation. He hopes to have the film released this August. Below is a seven minute short he produced from his filming thus far:
Hey Morgan, That's a great question... and is actually our most commonly asked question. The boys go wherever they were staying before they moved into Joe's Place (parent, other family member, friends house). It's one of the great things about the program... and also one of the hardest. A lot of the boys that come through the house have not had rules or curfews... giving them the time away on the weekends helps them not to feel trapped. It also gives us a little bit of a break on Saturday.
Thanks Matt, Dan and Alyssa! I am certain it is hard to put into words the awesome things that make Joe's Place what it is - but the combination of your gifts talents sacrifices and love, are absolutely scratching the surface for those who admire pray and strive to support you from the outside. Each moment shared gives a clearer view into your and the guys hearts- thanks for such an invaluable gift!
oh alyssa- this is a great piece. Of course, I cried my eyes out- but they were happy tears:) I admire the Lord's work through you guys. Wish we were closer to witness it firsthand. One day, maybe...I keep begging Josh to get us back there.

Alyssa, what do the guys do on the weekends and when they're not with you?
