It's amazing how quickly we've gotten back into the swing of things since we've been home. Donations have been dropped off, lots of e-mail questions have been answer, thank you notes to be written, working to get the house ready for different things, shopping for supplies, and making schedule arrangements with some of the boys (we're dropping Fred off at college on Sunday!!). Our very first Joe's Place resident actually dropped in last night to show us his new car and to talk about what's been going on. I love that so many of our boys still come by even after they've left the program. Our front door opens and closes a lot during the day... and that's one of the things I have really grown to love, most of the time :), about being here.
Anyway, one of the things we were getting the house ready for today is a little more filming by a news crew that is putting together a story that will air next Wednesday about Joe's Place. They've done interviews with us and all the boys and were even at their graduation ceremony. While we were in California we got an e-mail from the reporter working on the story. She said that the story on Joe's Place was going to be the cover of their magazine for the month of August. Very cool!! You can click here to read the story.
